How about naming him Vikram or Viktor? Vikram is a Nepali name, and Viktor is a Russian name. So there's some similarity, and he could go by Vik when/ if he visits Nepal or Russia, since that would be a known name there. Then there's Yasha. That's a Russian name, very close to the Nepali name Yash! Good compromise. Or how about Lev. It's a Russian name, but it's not unlike Lav, which is a Nepali name. So he'd feel not too far from either origin, having a name so close to both. I really like the name Lev :) Another name which is similar in both Nepalese and Russian is Alek (Russian) and Alok (Nepalese). I like these Nepali names by the way: Achal, meaning constant. Arun, meaning sun Kiran, meaning ray of light Mani, meaning gem And I love the Russian name Nikolai! Good luck! |
