4 month baby breastfeeding not sleeping through the night?
I breasfeed exclusively. My baby girl will be 4 months on June 22. She slept for 7 hours one night. She had a few rare nights where she slept for 5 hours straight. Her normal schedule is to get up every 3 hours at night. She sleeps 8 30 pm to 7 00am. When she gets up to eat she falls right back to sleep. I swaddle her still. Is she not sleeping through the night because I breasfeed or is there something that can be wrong? I am going to see our doctor for well baby in a week but I wanted to ask you all for your opinion advise. Thank you I drink one cup of coffee in the morning. I really do not think this is something I eat or drink. I will not let her cry either Thank you for all of your nice answers I feel better. It is really not a nig deal for me to get up and feed her because I fall right back asleep with her Thank you again
5 day old baby breastfeeding every hour. Is this normal?
Hello.Last night my 5 day old baby was feeding every hour. I am breastfeeding and understand that breast milk digests faster. But I am not sure if this is normal or should I be doing something different. I normally feed her on one breast and then burp and put her back on the same breast. She is pooping and wetting her diapers normally.
If you have the stomach flu & u r throwing up, will this affect the baby breastfeeding?

3 Week old baby breastfeeding - Mastitis?
I have a 3 week old baby and Mastitis for the second time in 3 weeks. I did not take an antibiotic at first because my symptoms got better on their own. Now my baby is grunting and gowning a lot and having a lot of gas. The doctor put her on formula and still has me pumping to see if my milk is irritating her stomach. Has anyone had the same issue with Mastitis?
Should i stop giving my 2 years old baby breastfeeding because im pregnant?

Why is my baby breastfeeding so poorly?
I have a two month old boy 9 weeks . He is growing well 12 lbs., 23 inches and is generally happy, but he seems really uncomfortable most of the time we're nursing. Out of the 8 or 9 times a day that I feed him, he grints, strains, pulls off the nipple, and even chokes. What could be the problem? He is a VERY gassy baby, and I give him drops alot. Also, he is pooping much less than he used to, but passing gas a lot more. He is also REALLY hard to burp. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes to get a burp after feeding, when I can hear the bubbles churning around. His tummy makes some really loud grumbles. Is it possible that my breastmilk irritates him? He's had formula a few times, but not enough for me to notice a difference. Help?
Is my baby breastfeeding for too long (minutes)?
My baby girl is 5 weeks old. Often times she will eat on one breast for 30 minutes and then switch to the other for another 30 minutes and then still act like she is hungry. Is it possible she is not getting enough or that something is wrong? She gained 2 pounds in the first month, so I do not fell like she is undernourished, but this seems to take way too long. I am starting to feel like all I do is feed her. Please help, this is becoming very frustrating. I want to breastfeed, but it would be nice to do other things during the day as well. My sister in law feeds her 5 month old for about 20 minutes and is done Am I doing something wrong here or has anyone else had a child that would regularly eat for over an hour in one sitting? I have tried pumping, but between feeding her, I can not seem to get more than a few ounces at a time from both breasts combined .

during 4th week i have had sponteneous bleeding for one week sometime redish, sometime pink . After that I have no bleeding till date. 3 days before I have had first intercourse after delivery. If there is a chance for being pregnant. If so, then can i test it by urinal preg color test.
Prem baby & breastfeeding.......?
Hello,I asked a question yesterday but I didnt provide enough details.My baby girl was born at 28 weeks gestation, she is currently 40 weeks today whoo hoo .She breastfeeds & full expressed feeds via Haberman bottle, when she breastfeeds, she doesnt get enough & this process takes hours.Has anyone else been through similar? Im looking for any tips on how to move to just breastfeeding.
1 week old baby (breastfeeding/pumping milk)?
I am a proud mommy of a one week old baby boy. Im a first time mommy and really have a hard time with breastfeeding. With sore nipples..cracked..bleeding..really sore...and engorged...I have been told that I can pump my breast milk between feeding my baby thru out the day or night. So I pump maybe one time during the day and once at day. The milk I pump during the day is about 2 oz I store in the freezer for a rainny day and the one at night I get about 2 oz for my boyfriend to be able to feed our little boy. I was wondering is that enough food for my baby 2 oz of milk in one feeding with the bottle?meant I pump once during the day and once at night..so about two times a day I pump the rest I feed my baby from the breast...
Chance of getting pregnant after having a baby & breastfeeding?
i know they say there is a very high chance of falling pregnant after giving birth, as your more fertile apparently, but if breastfeeding and then you have no period are you fertile or not?? i've also read, while breastfeeding during the first few months is a contraception, confused??? i gave birth 7 weeks ago & my post birth bleeding stopped 2 weeks ago
Gassy baby & breastfeeding?
My daughter will be 3 weeks old on Friday. The first week of her life she was absoloutely perfect she still is, just with a lot more crying and had no problems and hardly ever made a peep. Then she started getting gassy, and it has just gotten worse and worse.She acts hungry, and I go to put her at the breast, and she starts squirming and kicking her legs, and cries, and will not latch on. Don't get me wrong, sometimes she is perfect and has no problem breastfeeding, but at other times it is just hell trying to get her to eat.Is there a reason why she gets gassy and in pain before a feeding? I tried holding her in different positions, but none of that is working.Diet C I was reading in the mother of all baby books that a gassy baby could be caused by overactive production of milk. I never really got that. The way you put makes a lot more sense. I think that is probably the problem. Problem with baby&breastfeeding?
hi all,i am a mother to a little boy of 16 weeks,for the last 2 days we have been having major problems at feeding times,i breastfeed him& everytime i go to feed him,he will arch his back,start screaming& refuse my breast i have managed to catch him when i walk around with him& then he will latch on to the breast,he only really eats now in the evening for a good hour or so,and less in the day time,is this normal?that he is refusing my breasts?what can i do to encourage him to eat more?is this an passing phase?any help would be grateful,as my nerves are at an end many thanks joannahave also tried pumping in the past,but he will not drink from a bottle1i really hope this is just a phase he is going through,he is also dribbling alot as his teeth are coming through at the top,could this also be part of the problem????
