Brand new baby carrier.. get new smell out...?
im 8 months pregnant and just bought a baby carrier peanut shell .. i dont want to put the baby in it because it smells very " factory new" im sure the smell would annoy and over power a new infant.. i also dont want to wash it.. can i put it in my clothing drawer to try and calm down the smell or is washing it the best option.. im just afraid washing it will distort it before i get to use it i guess washing it with softener and line drying would be best.... ideas?was no washing instructions.

Can someone help me find one of those baby carriers that go on your chest that fits a 145 pound 5'9" teen?

Which baby carrier or sling would you suggest?
I am looking into getting a baby carrier or sling which would you all suggest? I love how the slings look especially the peanut shell they are so cute but I am afraid baby will fall out.I had a snuggie it was ok but a bit uncomfortable.I would be using the sling or carrier on a daily basis to walk my two other children to school and I need to hold both of their hands so I will not be able to keep readjusting it.I would take a stroller but the school is very crowded and i want to hold my other children's hands.Which sling or carrier do you think would best suit me?

Which baby carrier..?
which baby carrier sling would you reccommend for a newborn? is a baby bjorn a good simple one to use and does it carry a newborn in a safe position. Im just wondering as I wasnt sure if a newborn should be carried in a more horizontal position rather than upright?any brand names of carriers you found good would be v helpful I just have visions of me struggling to get the baby in and just not bothering with one all together Thanks

Best baby carrier? Moby wrap or ergo?

What baby carrier/sling do you think is best?
I need a baby carrier or sling and have no ideas which to get. Please help me out Thank you.

Looking for a baby carrier?
I was researching Dr Sears endorsed Balboa Baby Carrier, but I've seen mixed reviews, what would you recommend?

Where can I find a free pattern for baby carriers?
I'm looking for a pattern to make a baby carrier. I'd like a sling type one but I'm looking for anything I can use for a newborn.

Should I buy a baby carrier AND a stroller?
I will be buying a baby sling for my baby, and I plan on using it most of the time. Would I need to buy a stroller aswell, or is that more of a luxury item in my case? I can see the usefulness of it if I get tired of carrying baby. But I really only have money for the necessities now.

I need brand names of baby carriers?
i am looking for one I can wear on my front facing both ways and on the back. I have a Baby Bjorn and i love it but at a now 17lbs its hurting my back. I wanted an Ergo but I don't think it looks very comfortable for the baby on the back the way they'd have to hold their heads. other then those I know of Pikolo, Beco and Infantino. I do not want any that u have tie, like a Mei Tai those I had one and it seems very dangerous, please help. I just want a bunch of brand names so I can look them up, or what is your favorite carrier? oh and no slings please I don't like wraps but thanks for the suggestion, I had one of those also and returned it as fast as I could. I could never get the hang of it and almost dropped my baby while TRYING to get her in it.

What is your favorite baby carrier, sling or pouch? Why?
I'm new to baby wearing and need more info

Baby carrier question!!?
This is probably a stuiped question but I'm a first time mommy so cut me some slack here Anyways I'm 6 months pregnant & just bought a car seat for my baby. Its one of those 3 in one seats that does newborn, toddler & then booster seat. I just now realized that because its a 3 in 1 it wont be able to be used as a carrier as well that I can take from the car & go on my way. I LOVE the seat & don't really want to return it but I'm wondering....what do I do with the baby when I'm going to the doctors, out to eat, shopping etc. I know there has to be something to do with them other than carrying them since I'm probably not the only one thats bought a carseat like this. But I'm kind of stumped as to what to do with my baby? Obviously if we go out to eat I could bring the stroller in & going shopping they have carts with built in seats. But what about doctor appts...I've got a snugi but I'm not sure I feel comfortable putting a newborn in that without help if I'm home alone & I worry about it not being too comfortable for a fragile newborn that can't hold its own head up.So my questions is...what did you use if you didn't have a carrier?
