my baby nurses like every hour for about 10 15 minutes, is this normal?also i try to burp my baby after every feeding but it does not burp, is your baby like that?
Is my baby nursing enough?
My daughter was 5 lbs. 13 oz. and now weights 6 lbs 2 oz. She pees about 5 times a day and has little poops almost every time I change her diaper. My reason for asking this question is because she doesn't drink from my breast very long. Sometimes total feeding time is only like 10 minutes if that. She eats every few hours most often and sometimes she has to be woke up to eat because I don't let her go longer than 5 hours without eating.

How often is your baby nursing/breastfeeding at 8.5 months old?
It seems like our very much awaited miracle baby is still nursing every 2 hours, but only for about 10 minutes at a time.She is 8 months old and 18 pounds, so I know she's getting 'enough'. Don't get the wrong idea... I don't mind it at all. I LOVE having that time with her, and it gives me a chance to sit down during the day Our older children are very much older than her 7y & almost 13y , so I don't remember from when they were babies. I'm not asking for ways to stretch the time between feedings... But just wondering what is normal for this age? And she wakes 2 4 times between 10pm and 8am, nurses and goes right back to sleep, so I don't mind this, either. Does your baby still do this?
2 1/2 week old baby nurses for over an hour at each feeding?
I'm having the hardest time with breastfeeding. My son Luke nurses for an hour or more at each feeding until he is full long enough to go 2 3 hours until the next one. He takes breaks every 10 15 minutes and usually I change him about 1 2 way through if he is getting sleepy. I have plenty of milk and I keep him on the same breast for most of the feeding so he gets the hindmilk. Anyone else have this happen, and if so when do things start to get easier? I'm so tired Any light at the end of the tunnel would be great.
HOw do you not know how many times your baby nurses at night?

Should I let my baby nurse on her tummy?
My 10 month old has figured out that she can turn over and nurse on her tummy if we are on the floor or couch. Should I discourage this? Is this bad nursing manners? The only thing that bothers me about it is that she will slowly scootch forward with her knees under her, and eventually have to let go because she's too far up to nurse. I keep turning her over, back onto her back, but she's really insistent with it So it ends up being a mock wrestling match with me constantly turning her over LOL Does your baby do this? What do you do about it? Intead of just saying, " when we are on the floor or couch" I should have said, " when we are laying on the floor or couch." When she's tired I always lay down to nurse her so that I don't have to move her when she falls asleep. We have a pad for the living room floor that is comfy for her, and if I nurse her on the couch I will sit on the floor in front of the couch with my laptop. What effects: Having my baby, nurses pushed head back in while I was pushing?
Ok so this is what happenedI was at ten centimeters and had the urge to push so.. I pushed and the nurses seemed to encouraged this until they realized on the second push that the baby's head was already crowning. The next push the babies head would have come out all the way except that they pushed it back in, then held the baby in for the next three pushes. I was watching something the other day that said that might be the worse thing they can do.My son was in the hospital for almost a month with lung issues and his ribcage was oddly shaped. I don't know if there was any connection. I wish they would have just let me have him instead of keeping the baby in. This is my 3rd child and I have a history of having babies after only 3 4 four pushes. told the nurses this before we even got into hard labor but they where not used to seeing an induced labor with no drugs so.... Please let me know, I don't want to call the hospital and let them know what happened until I have some more info.OK so when I asked for an explanation the nurse said the doctor had to be in the room? I think I'm remembering correctly, I was extremely aware of what was going on. I didn't think that the rib cage thing was related but I thought I would ask.I had a question on how I dealt with the pain? I think I might have a higher pain tolerance than most people because I have been exposed to intense pain most of my life due to a chronic illness.
How often does your baby nurse?
hello, my bub is 4 months and about a week ago started nursing every 2 3 hours four around the clock and about 12 minutes total. i just wanted to know how often your babies nurse and for how long. i don't know if it is normal that he started this pattern again.also, why is it so easy for people to just say " just give him formula" ? its so ironic when the best thing to do is to breastfeed and some people just don't see the benefits of it. instead of cheering on they just turn down your bf ability.thanks D
Does your baby nurse only certain times of the day?
My baby will breastfeed in the AM she drinks breastmilk from bottle during the day because I work but she refuses to nurse at night. She cries when I bring her near the breast. how can I get her to nurse all the times including the weekends when I am with her instead of her just nursng for morning feeds?She is 6 months old. She does take a whole bottle after refusng my breast, so she is hungry.
How does a labor and delivery nurse differ from a baby nurse?
I'm looking at some careers and so I'd like to know what these two have in common and what makes them different. I have thought about being a Pediatrician but have since then scratched that out. I'd like to know a little more information on these two careers.Now, after reading those answers, it does seem very self explanitory.... Here's another one.. I don't want to sound greedy but is there a difference in salary??
Breastfeeding Moms: How long does your baby nurse on each side? And how old is s/he?
My baby's pediatrician said I only need to nurse her 5 minutes per side. Does that sound long enough? He might have just said that b c I had a yeast infection at the time. She goes to the doctor tomorrow. I'm just wondering other opinions. Thanks She's just over one month old.
Should I hire baby nurse or post-partum doula?
The thing is mostly I'd want her to help if I'm having trouble breastfeeding and I need help with latching her on and mostly do stuff like if she cries while im in the shower tend to her or if i need a nap care for her. Just for the first week or two. Also even if it requires extra pay I'd like someone willing to do light house work such as laundry, light cooking, and feeding the pets or taking the dogs outside to go potty. Whats holding me back is that I heard they can be bossy and pushy and I'm a very sensitive person and also very hands on I worked in childcare caring for newborns for six years I also basically raised my siblings I know how to care for a newborn I dont want somebody stepping on my toes you know cause I am the mom. I'm looking for someone to help me during my most exhausted period, not a teacher unless it comes to breastfeeding .I know baby nurses and post partum doulas are different. Which is my best bet?
At about 6 months old how many times does your baby nurse a day?
i feel like my daughter nurses all the time, she eats baby food twice a day, but she nurses probably 10 times between night and day feedings.
