Question: Does your baby nurse only certain times of the day?

My baby will breastfeed in the AM (she drinks breastmilk from bottle during the day because I work) but she refuses to nurse at night. She cries when I bring her near the breast. how can I get her to nurse all the times (including the weekends) when I am with her instead of her just nursng for morning feeds? She is 6 months old. She does take a whole bottle after refusng my breast, so she is hungry.

Depending on how old she is, she may not be hungry through the night. She may just need some help getting back to sleep. I think perseverence is the name of the game here if you want her to feed on the weekends and at night. When you are holding her to breasteed. Try expressing a little milk into her mouth while she is crying. This may be enough to stop her crying and the attach her before she realises what is going on. If this doesn't work she may prefer the bottle as she doesn't have to work as hard to get the milk out.
